About Me

Life can be quite challenging. Sometimes, we dismiss our difficult emotions and we somehow feel like it is weak to talk about them. I believe there is nothing weak to acknowledge and accept our human vulnerability. I think it is a real sign of strength to try to share our vulnerability with someone else.

I meet my clients with unconditional positive regard to join them at where they are in a genuine, supportive and nonjudgmental way in their healing journey. I hold and soothe them with relentless empathy in a secure-base therapeutic alliance where clients can feel comfortable to take risks with me as their companion to go into what is foreign, strange, dangerous, scary, sad, unbearably stressful, painful or unacceptable in their inner lives and face their vulnerabilities together. I help them see the processes in which they are caught in with their emotions and with other people; reorganise their inner world that makes sense of their lives; find their emotional balance and redirect those processes into new directions.

I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults (both individuals and couples). I use a humanistic and experiential approach, as well as mindfulness and cognitive-based disciplines to offer mental health counselling for individuals; utilise research-based assessments and interventions, as well as attachment science to help couples strengthen their relationships and marriages. My interests are pre-marital and relationship counselling. Helping committed couples to gain understanding of their relationship dynamics, strength and growth areas; helping couples in treating affairs and trauma; helping couples in recovery from alcohol, drugs and/or behavioral addictions; facilitating couples to cope with issues that arise in healthy ways; fostering resilience and enriching their relationships.

I have been providing individual’s mental health and couple’s counselling in clinical settings. I have worked with international schools in providing counselling to children, adolescents and families; corporates in providing training in managing mental health in the workplace.
