About Me

Growing up, the arts were my refuge. My love for stories, whether in books, films, music or poetry, inspired me to teach high school English for many years.

What I loved most about teaching was having the opportunity to cultivate meaningful relationships in a safe environment. As I realised how invested I had become in the stories of my students and their families, I felt a drive to deepen my understanding of how I could support them better. Eventually I attained a Masters in Counselling, and then pivoted into full-time counselling work.

These days, I enjoy supporting clients as they navigate the ups and downs of life. I believe that therapeutic conversations that are co-authored by counsellor and client are a powerful basis of change and connection.

My counselling approach is empathic, culturally-sensitive, and values-driven. I offer a non-judgemental space, an attentive ear, and multi-disciplinary techniques that help clients make new meaning of their stories. Clients can expect to gain clarity on where they might feel stuck, and where they'd like to go next. Above all, they can reconnect with what they value the most, and acquire the tools for implementing lasting change.

I look forward to speaking with you and being a part of your journey.
