Who are counsellors-in-training?

Counsellors-in-training are students enrolled in a Masters of Counselling programme from an accredited university partner. Counsellors-in-training practice counselling with clients, as part of their Masters of Counselling programme for fulfilment of practicum hours required for graduation and receive ongoing supervision from  a qualified professional therapist/counsellor to practice counselling/therapy.

All Counsellors-in-training undergo a rigorous vetting, interview process, and online therapy training before acceptance to Common Care as a Therapist Provider. All counsellors-in-training must adhere to their professional board’s Code of Ethics and professional responsibility to the provision of therapy services.
